My left foot hurts

I've been in a ten day trip to some places in the northeast of the United States and Toronto. Well, in the third day it started raining but I was sheltered from it in the public library of New York. It took us a couple of ours to leave because my mother wasn't wearing appropiate shoes for the rain and didn't want to get her feet wet, in the end we had to come out while it was still raining because the situation didn't seem like it was going to improve.

I don't know what happened in those hours that we spent inside the library what ever since we stepped outside my left foot was hurting like crazy and it went one for the whole trip. (had I twisted my ankle? or had I just pulled a muscle in my leg?)

The pain became unbearable four days after while we were in Washington DC walking from the Capitol to the Natural History Museum (a place I was dying to visit, we had just seen the Capitol and the Air and Space Musum, and this was the remaining must-see in my agenda, even more when I read that one of the current Special Exibits was about forensic files!! I took some interesting pictures there). My parents would have taken me back to the hotel but I insisted in going to the museum and in the end my willpower won although it took me a long time to reach the entrance.

In the long way to the museum (and afterwards to the underground) this image kept coming to my head.

The funny thing is it didn't hurt while I stood up, it was only painful when I walked.
